Frequently Asked Questions
Once the seal has failed on double-pane insulated glass units (IGU) the glass will begin to fog and must be replaced. This is due to the primary and secondary seals separating from the glass allowing the insulating gas (Typically argon) to escape and for moisture to enter between the panes which cannot be cleaned.
This does not mean the entire window needs to be replaced! We offer a wide selection of glass replacement options including tempered, obscured, tinted and mirrored glass units designed to fit your window frame and application.
Yes! We offer a wide range of options for single pane glass replacement. Single pane replacement is also available on select antique style wood windows.

Due to ongoing supply chain disruptions turn-around time is currently 1-2 weeks on new glass orders. Large orders may require up to 4 weeks for delivery. For more information please use our contact form or email the office at office@wefix.glass
Window glass is extremely hard and durable but it can be scratched if cleaned using abrasives or harsh chemicals. We recommend cleaning your glass using an ammonia-free spray window cleaner and a soft non-scratch towel.
We do not advise the use of scouring pads, scrapers or abrasive cleaners as these may damage the finish of the glass and void the manufacturers warranty. For more information please check the following PDF:
